I had a look at people and characters who I thought had the characteristics of the character that I wanted to create. I started off creating an outline in Photoshop with the black brush tool.
After that I began to add some colours to the grey scale drawing. I started with the skin colour and then added a colour to his top. I tried out grey and black to see what would look best. I think that the grey looks best but I may try out some other colours.
